[Following is a volunteer review of "Niching Up" by Chris Dreyer.]
I finished reading the book Niching Up: The Narrower the Market, the Bigger the Prize by Chris Dreyer, I would rate this book 4 out of 5 as a good read and recommend it. This is a book you’ll want to add to your collection.
My thoughts about the book are I felt it was very easy to read and easy to follow. In my opinion, the story was sort of a fast read. I thought the story the author was trying to convey was very simple, the main point of the story was talking about niches or niching in an essay like a step-by-step format for how and why one would get started and the author’s personal experience with learning niching along the way. I felt this book was focused on one area specifically for marketing, giving you different ideas on how to market yourself for a presentation to stand out from the rest. I do appreciate the pros and cons the author gives however giving examples of how to market yourself. I would like to see this book in audio format. I'm not sure if it’s available in audio, but from how the author writes the book, I can visualize the author speaking to an audience or group and presenting all the key points from each chapter, almost like a master class.
In my opinion, this book would be helpful for those who know nothing about the niching or who are feeling “stuck” in a competitive market, and are trying to reach or get the attention of a specific group or industry but aren’t sure how to. I think the advice Chris gives throughout the book would be very beneficial for a new business owner.
When you finish reading Chris’s book you will have a reference for your business journey. I thought the author had a lot of great advice and tips throughout the book. I did appreciate the author having very positive energy throughout the book, you could feel the enthusiasm and the passion when he wrote this book. I thought each example in the book that the Author gave was perfect and easy enough to follow along and implement in your journey. I appreciate hearing new ideas and concepts that others are willing to share with the public for what’s helped them (the author) along their journey.
Overall, in my opinion, I thought this book was a very good read, and I look forward to reading more books by the Author Chris Dreyer.
