[Following is a volunteer review of "Souljourner" by Paul Steven Stone.]
Souljourner is definitely worth a read if you're looking for a book that challenges your mind and spirit. Souljourner is an enthralling book with a unique narrative, ideal for readers who want to identify with the characters. It is part of a trilogy, but each installment stands alone, so it is suitable to read without having prior knowledge. Now is the perfect time to give it a try. "Souljourner: A Karmic Crime Story" by Paul Steven Stone is a metaphysical thriller that I feel may appeal to knowledge seekers as it has done to me. In my understanding this book explores the concept of reincarnation and how life events are connected. The book's narration is engaging and speaks directly to the reader. The protagonist, David, is in jail and begins to reflect on his life, trying to make sense of how he got there. It follows David Rockwood Worthington, a man with a tragic current life due to a previous incarnation, in his quest to end up in prison for murder. It features several narrators, with a surprise ending that leaves the reader questioning what else they could have missed on the first read. Ultimately, the novel is highly recommended for its unique concept, enchanting story flow and character development.
An interviewer, Dr. Robert, helps him delve deeper into his relationships and memories to uncover the truth. Along the way, there are moments where David's deceased wives offer their observations, adding to the complexity of the story. Overall, the book appears to be a mix of conflicts and confusion as David tries to make sense of his life.
One thing I took away from this novel was regardless of our individual karmic paths, we are all united in one common truth - we are not simply human beings on a spiritual journey, we are spiritual beings on a human journey, and that, my friends, sets the tone for everything going forward. It is believed that the same souls walk with us for eternity, and have done so for lifetimes.
4 out of 4 - excellent, amazing, 5 out of 5 - amazing; one of the best books ever
