I chose to use one of my free credits on Audible to purchase the novel The Lost Symbol, by Dan Brown. I'd been meaning to read it and thought this would be a good chance! The Audible App marked this novel to be over 17 hours to complete. This seemed a little overwhelming seeing that large number, but that is how long it takes to read a novel after all.

I enjoyed the Audible App very much. The ability to switch between viewing the book in chapters or as a whole novel was extremely helpful in knowing where I was in each section. I liked the 30 second back or forward feature, this helped very much when I would miss one or two words and could simply go back and re-listen.

I found the feature of being able to set the audio at multiple speeds very interesting. Even though I kept my audio to keep normal speed, I liked the idea. It would be useful for those who cannot process information as fast, or faster than average.

I found Audible to be extremely user-friendly. It was simple to download the App and simple to download my audio book. In terms of usage, I believe that this App could be used by any generation. The simple layout and easy-to-use functions make anyone capable of using Audible.

I also enjoyed the narrator very much. He was very easy to listen to and made the story line flow nicely. This narrator was one person, yet shown through multiple personalities with a simple accent or pitch change. This is extremely helpful when the reader does not have the text in front of their eyes.

I personally will most likely not keep this membership. I will finish my 30-day free trial and then resume checking my novels and audio books out from my local library. Even though the library may not offer as many functions as the Audible App does, it is always a free service to the public. Maybe when I have money to burn I will become a member of Audible again.

In summation, I give Audible 4 out of 4 stars. I enjoyed Audible very much. However, I find the concept of paying for audio books to be wasteful at this time, given that there are hundreds of free audio books at my local library. That said, If I were going to purchase an audio book I would indeed use this service!
