During the pre-colonial era, racism toward Africans was prevalent everywhere. They were given few rights and treated cruelly. But eventually, they rebelled and took back what was rightfully theirs.

Dr. Ghoulem Berrah wrote this wonderful book. Algeria was Ghoulem's birthplace. He was born into a large family. He was a bright student, but several of his favorite classes were off-limits to him because of bigotry in his nation. After graduating high school, he got a scholarship to study medicine in France. The family leader, his older brother, did not want him to go since they could not sponsor him to attend college. He persuaded his brother to let him go to college. He initially struggled to adapt to France, but over time, he met other Africans who had come to the country to study. Ghoulem and his pals started a group to fight racism and prejudice toward Africans. Eventually, he engaged in an independence war for Algeria. Was he prosperous? I was very motivated by this book. I was intrigued by Dr. Ghoulem's enthusiasm to start a revolution in Africa. He overcame many obstacles, yet he never gave up on his goal of saving Africa. I could better comprehend colonialism's events and the suffering in Africa because of this book. Also, the author describes the history of Africa in the 20th century in this book. Even though the author gave a comprehensive account of his life, I was thrilled. I could better grasp the author's narrative in several of this book's chapters because of the photos included. The book has several motivational statements that I found motivating.

It was enjoyable to read this book. I didn't find anything to dislike in this book. The book serves as an example of the enthusiasm with which Africans opposed colonization. Also, it indicated their desire for both political and national independence. I was impressed by Ghoulem and his companions' efforts to make Africa a better place. They cared about and helped one another. While fighting for Algeria's independence, Dr. Ghoulem and his comrades showed outstanding bravery. Reading this novel taught me the value of persistence, sacrifice, love, patriotism, and commitment. I also came to understand the importance of respecting the beliefs of others. I also liked how the author utilized this tale to show that people of various religions can get along.

Because I learned so much about the advantages of peace, I rate the book 5 out of 5 stars. There were no grammatical mistakes, and the book was superbly edited. Those who like reading about pre-colonial and African history will love this book.
