[Following is a volunteer review of "Terms of Service" by Craig W. Stanfill.]
Terms of Service by Craig W. Stanfill investigates how AI can change the world, imagining a nightmarish future in which individualism is severely prohibited. Our main character, Kim, is a rising star at The Artificial Intelligence Company with a promising future; she has the entire world at her fingertips and everything she could ever want, with the exception of her freedom. Everything is predetermined for her, including the clothes she wears, the meals she consumes, and the partners with whom she engages in sexual activity. Thoughts that focus more on the individual than the group are referred to as "selfist" in this society. As Kim's desire for choice threatens to bring about the downfall of society, a weird and rebellious journey begins.
The paradox that arises as a result of the AI’s developers giving Kim a new job was really entertaining to me. They desired to make advancements in artificial intelligence technology, but they were unable to do so because all individuals were subject to strict control. Kim, who had recently started defying authority and acting in a disobedient manner, was the only person who could assist them.
The book's characters are wonderfully developed, with believable motivations and behaviors that feel genuine, which is one aspect I adore. The functionality of what we refer to as an algorithm today has been advanced to a logical and probably feasible future. I truly appreciate how the reader was given access to the extensive artificial intelligence insights. Being an AI fan, I was delighted with their virtual reality, transportation, guidance, communication, and other AI-controlled technologies as the entire scene played out as a movie in my head. I adore how AI contributed to their civilization being more well-organized than ours is now.
I liked how the underlying themes addressed the sources of real contentment and happiness in life. The author did a great job of emphasizing the significance of making one's own judgments and not letting anyone else tell you what is right or wrong for you.
I just couldn't find anything to criticize about Terms of Service by Craig W. Stanfill, which I adored. I did not encounter any errors in the course of reading the book, and I find it to be professionally well edited. I give this book a complete rating of 5 out of 5 stars based on the many advantages I keep obtaining from it and how entertaining it is.
Terms of Service by Craig W. Stanfill is fascinating in every way. I'd strongly recommend this book to those looking for a compelling and distinctive AI world.
