Wind is a fantasy novel written by Ellen Dee Davidson. The story is a combination of mythology and mysticism. There is an array of characters throughout the story that contribute to the level of fantasy in the book. It is a captivating storyline meant to keep the readers interested.

Katie, the main character, has unique abilities. She has to learn how to use her gifts, and she must learn to accept herself. This isn't easy for her to do. She comes across other characters throughout the story, including an alien boy she would rather not have to deal with. Katie learns more about herself and what she can do through the friends she makes. It is an adventure for her to be able to get back home.

I feel this book is best suited for middle school to high school students. The content would be harder for younger readers to understand. As an adult, I found the story to be enjoyable so I think other adults would also like to read it. Those not into fantasy might want to skip reading this book.

I found Wind to be an intriguing book that kept my interest from start to finish. Katie is a well-developed and relatable character. I enjoyed the relationship she creates with Za, an arrogant alien boy who thinks he's always right. I found Za, as well as the other characters, to be well-developed and creative. The author has a unique way of bringing the story to life. I'm not one to always like fantasy stories, but I did find this one to be fascinating. I was curious to see who and what Katie would come across next on her journey home. Overall, there was nothing to dislike about this book.

I rated this book 5 out of 5 stars. The book doesn't contain a single error and appears to have been exceptionally well-edited and proofread. The storyline is interesting and the characters are fun and entertaining. I'd suggest this book to others and would be open to reading others by this author.
