Terms of Service by Craig W. Stanfill is a book that mostly discusses technology and the operation of artificial intelligence (AI). The protagonist of the book, Kim, also happens to be a trainer who has researched and learned how artificial intelligence (AI) works. She discovered herself in a situation where she was raised by a mentor instead of her parents, by the rules that apply to people under the AI. She and her companion Shaw went on a little adventure into a no-go zone, but they couldn't find their way back. They also learn a secret regarding the existence of the individuals that they were instructed not to reveal.

Kim and Shan manage to return home despite breaking many service terms and incurring fines. She received a call from her director one morning after the tragic ride, and instead of receiving a severe penalty, she was given more office space. She and the other trainees were made to oversee self-cloned AI, and they were tasked with teaching and testing these AI. Kim was forced to watch helplessly as lives were heavily affected by what was made, and she wasn't pleased with this. Monstrous act after monstrous act, deceit after treachery, insult after affront—Kim didn't feel like it; she feels she's been used for the artificial intelligence company's aims. She needed to be happy, but sadly, things didn't work out well for her.

I like how the author described how having AI in society will make life much simpler. I particularly adore how Kim maintains her ground once she decides to no longer be controlled and how, despite the challenges, the bond between her and her closest friend Shan continues to strengthen.

I disliked nothing about the book, seeing that it was a fantastic reading journey that engulfed the reader. The tenses and composition were also easy to flow with. The novel highlights how people live under the supervision of robotic technologies, are watched, have their privacy invaded, and are required to adhere to the system's terms of service, which is happening right now in our society. The novel also discusses friendship, love, self-control, and how having AI in charge forces people to live in terror. A benefit of artificial intelligence talked about by the author is that it assists with household tasks, job applications, efficient transportation, and food delivery.

I gave this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it to people interested in sci-fi as well as people involved in technology, seeing that it relates to the future of our current world in technological terms. The book was exceptionally well-edited and error-free. Reading the book would give readers insight into the benefits and harmful effects of technology; this is why I gave the book a perfectly high rating.
