Review of Terms of Service

[Following is a volunteer review of "Terms of Service" by Craig W. Stanfill.]
Aptly titled and an amazingly well written science fiction, Terms of Service by author Craig W Stanfill is an unapologetically creative, refreshing story, which brings all that is human in an AI conceptualization!
The story entirely justifies the two most thrilling aspects in this ensemble--AI & Sci-Fi--Kim, the protagonist here, works with an AI company and trains nascent AIs through the virtual reality programing, coincidentally her major project “Kimberly” is an AI which she has to create using her own strengths and weaknesses, and there are numerous reasons Kim loves and hates this journey, with the same intensity!
It beckons, with a philosophical sense--the protagonist, Kim's evolution. The rotation of the whole world around Kim also evolves with every single act that she does and the reader tends to start thriving in this new world, as does Kim! There is an intriguing undertone to the story where the reader unlearns the old world's theological theme and gradually feels the perpetual personification of this new world's melancholy in Kim's loneliness!
Through this gradually unfolding AI world, among the sullen cri de coeur instances also there are those which are cherished for the warmth of a friend's love or the closely knit group of childhood friends. Kim finds herself aloof, suffering per the 'terms of service', lest the magnetic presence of Keli's solemn voice balancing her life's estrangement. Keli, Kim's best friend, always earnestly speaks to her, showing her loving concern towards Kim which is a guiding light in the sordid world!
I loved that the author keeps the reader intrigued through the enchanting-titles as life unfolds more twists for Kim! "Awakening", as this title gives away a 'sense of beginning', so does the series of instructions cum orders from 'The Chief'--an immediate instructor at the company--to Kim and her fellows, one morning! The whole life of Kim is painted in a new shade now and forever, creating for her an equal sense of fear and respite, anew! There are unprecedented moments in which Kim finds herself in surprise! As she unknowingly unlearns her own self and learns more about the AI cosmos around her. The journey now seems to have brought answers to her long being alone and gloomy. How long can she relish through these new 'terms of service' and be of service to the orders received?
Author embarks for the reader a sneak peek with perfect gripping instances where the AIs can come closest to life and into the real senses!
I am amazed with every moment I have spent reading this splendid book; I have to rate it 5 out of 5 stars for the enlightening concepts created into a well knit story for the sci-fi lovers and the fact that the reader can submit their whole selves entirely to reading this book based in an AI era to relish every bit of this genre. And further the work is very well edited as I have nothing to report as an error.
