Always Strive to Be a Better You is a self-help book that gives hope to ordinary people to live extraordinary lives. In this book, Pete Hall, the author, profiles seven subjects: Andre Wicks, Brooke Knight, Chelsea Averna, Derek Garcia, Jennifer Gross, Matt Lillard, and Tammy Campbell. Through these ordinary people, readers can learn how to live a happy, virtuous, and good life with the "13 key learnings" presented in the book.

I feel a sense of agreement with all aspects of the book. I found myself nodding and agreeing with all the author's knowledge discussed in the book. I love the real-life examples from the seven subjects. I learned from Chelsea that whatever life throws at you, you can surpass it by having a clear monologue and a strong inner circle. I learned from Tammy to be mission-driven; from Jennifer to live your core values; from Derek to be the best dad; from Brooke to build a good relationship; from Andre to walk the talk; and from Matt to pursue what you love. I love how the author shared a glimpse of his life at the beginning of every chapter. I love the dialogue between the author and his friends—the seven extraordinary people.

Moreover, I enjoyed the "pause and reflect" sections because they prompted me to assess myself and discover my inner self. The "13 key learnings" introduced by the author made me solidify my three main goals in life: love, health, and freedom. Pete Hall made me realize how my mindset determines my success.

I haven't found any disagreeable aspects in this flawlessly edited book. I love the feeling of connecting with my inner self again and the feelings of motivation and realization that come with it.

This authentic and easily readable book warrants the highest possible rating of 5 out of 5 stars because I can't find any problems with it. The book was upbeat, hopeful, and impeccable, which is why it guaranteed a full score.

I recommend this thought-provoking book to anyone who needs the motivation to pursue a happy, virtuous life. The book includes how to discover your calling and how to embrace disequilibrium and reframe it. Readers will be inspired by how powerful the mindsets of these seven subjects are, as well as by the author.

It's so important to focus on our self-being. I think it's very easy to lose focus on what really matters and stress out about less important things. Great job on your review!

I love the range of life experiences it seems the author presents by including these seven subjects and his own thoughts. I especially like Andre's advice to "walk the talk." Indeed, talk is cheap. Show me as well. :)

Thank you for your lovely review and recommendation, Hazel Mae.

Love, health, and freedom are indeed the most important aspects of life, and I do believe if you have them all, you can achieve anything you want. You summarised this book perfectly, Hazel. I don't think I would have picked it if I had seen it before, but now your review has changed my mind. Thanks for this outstanding review!

I enjoy self-help books that motivate you to become a better you. I believe that the competition is always with your past self, and one should find ways to improve every chance you get. Isn't that what life is all about? Thank you for this wonderfully written review, Hazel. I will add this book to my "To read" list.
