Review of Seeing with Fresh Eyes

[Following is a volunteer review of "Seeing with Fresh Eyes" by John W. Bullock.]
Seeing with Fresh Eyes by John W. Bullock is a Christian non-fiction novel. This book will help you on your journey to deepen your faith. God is real. He wants to have a personal relationship with everyone. Many are disenchanted when it comes to God. He can’t be seen. He can’t be heard. This makes it hard to believe in him. But we have it all wrong. He is always there for us. He even sent his son Jesus Christ to walk amongst us. Jesus set out on a daunting journey. That journey was to have us get closer to God. But it was a hard task. Jesus got persecuted because of this. But he didn’t stop. He didn’t fold. He made God proud. He died for our sins on the cross. Adam and Eve opened the gates of sin. Jesus came down to close it. God doesn’t want us to perish in the eternal fire. He wants each of us to take a seat alongside him in heaven.
The author manages to bring every character to life. Adam and Eve as the first creations. Then Jesus came to us to rid everyone of their sin. I enjoyed the way the author goes about describing how God works in mysterious ways. Moses talking to the burning bush. The Israelites saw God cast lightning down from the sky. This had the people in awe. This also made those very people afraid at the same time. There are many miracles that Jesus performs. This showed me how great he truly was. Even though his crucifixion was hard to read. This made me better understand who Jesus was. He was someone that never gave up. He was also someone that never gave in to temptation.
There are many different places mentioned throughout the book. A map with the location of those places would have helped a lot. I know that the events happened millennia ago. I know that the map would not be 100% accurate. Especially the location of the Garden of Eden. But a rough idea of the locations of those different places. That would have helped me better understand the story.
The book is exceptionally well-written. It details the events that happened in the Garden of Eden. Where Adam and Eve sinned for the first time. It also describes the life Jesus Christ lived. He was a devoted son. He was also devoted to his people. I enjoyed the enlightening journey this book took me on. I rate Seeing with Fresh Eyes 5 out of 5 stars.
I recommend this book to those who are of the Christian faith. It's for those who would like to find out more about God and Jesus Christ. Seeing with Fresh Eyes is suitable for all ages.
