If I were limited to making just one sentence about Terms of Service: Subject to Change without Notice by Craig W. Stanfill, I would say the book is a masterpiece. I don’t know how Craig did it, but he took me into the future; to see, feel and imagine what the world will be like when the development of AI reaches its peak. Arguably, this book is a picture of the future.

Kim is the central character in the book; she is an unfortunate child who suffers from unhealed childhood trauma due to early separation from her birth-giver, as the hierarchy demands. Kim lived in a world fully regulated by AI; there was no room for personal choices. The company and Hierarch constantly monitored and evaluated every aspect of life, including food choices, companionship, childbirth, conversation topics, music, and entertainment.

With a flair for AI development, Kim studied the same in school and eventually was opportune to work with the Artificial Intelligence Company in charge of the governance of the state. Everything went smoothly until her life turned downhill when Kim and her best friend, Sham, trespassed into the restricted territory. Surprisingly, she received an offer to work in a higher class within the company. However, the offer came with the condition that Kim must submit to the company's dictates.

Kim has always been adventurous, and she eagerly accepted the offer. From that point, Kim will see the company for what it is; a piece of oppression machinery in the hands of the Hierarchy. But she is already trapped! Is there a way out?

I’m a tech enthusiast, and I find this book very interesting. Craig was able to input a lot of tech concepts into the book in a way understandable even to a layperson. More so, the book was well-edited and error-free, that’s unique. Craig's writing style is engaging and entertaining, giving the story a sweet flow.

However, the book contains extensive descriptions of intimacy and erotic scenes, which may not be suitable for underage children. Also, for moral reasons, some people may not be comfortable with explicit romance content. The erotic content in the book is the downside for me; the book is an exciting science fiction work that ought to be written with a vast caliber of readers in mind.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. Craig's writing style is engaging and fast-paced, creating an enjoyable reading experience. The book is thoroughly edited, and I don’t see why I should rate it lower. I recommend this book to tech enthusiasts, especially those interested in AI technology. If you have a knack for books with romance and erotic content, you may check this out.

Kim's story is really exhilarating as she tries to understand her past memories that seems to have been erased at some point. Great review 👍

I have always thought that AI could be extremely useful, even though it has the potential to be used wrongly. Kim has definitely made the best of a bad situation.

The AI tool and tech systems are not everyone's cup of tea to understand but the author made it easy for a layman like me, so it'll be interesting to read.

AI books might turn into reality someday. I do love sci-fi and dystopia novels are always welcome. Thank you for the insightful review Chris Agbara!

I like books with a little profanity, and I like it that you stated that this book contains erotic and intimate scenes. This is a must read for me.

Your review has definitely piqued my interest in this book. The fact that you were on the edge of your seat while reading it speaks volumes about its ability to captivate readers. I am excited to dive into this memoir and learn more about the author's experiences with leadership, bravery, and being a good follower. Thank you for such a well-written review!

Fortunately, Kim got a higher-level position instead of getting into trouble--or maybe that was trouble enough. :eusa-think:
Futuristic AI books aren't my thing; I think we'll get there soon enough, and probably with mixed results.

Thank you for your thorough review!

The thought was that life would be better when the rank or position is higher, but that was not the case for Kim. It worsened, sad though. I love your summary and how you laid out the content of the book. Your review is phenomenal, Chris!

I felt so bad for Kim when the job she had been looking forward to turned into something not so interesting for her anymore. This is actually not only significant in the book but quite literally every other place in the real world. I would love to read the next book in the series to find out what happens next.
