Review of Natural Relief for Anxiety and Stress
Stress is the body's response to external conditions that it perceives as dangerous, worrying, or irritating, and anxiety is the resulting tension and strain in both body and mind. Most people become anxious when they feel like they are not in control of things happening around them. Natural Relief for Anxiety and Stress: A Practical Guide by Gustavo Kinrys, M.D., and Alexandra Gold, M.A., offers natural relief to deal with stress and anxiety, providing a comprehensive guide to help us cope with these issues.
Anxiety can manifest in various symptoms, the most common of which include sweating, dry mouth, shaking, shortness of breath, and chest pains. Additionally, the common physical symptoms of stress include muscle tension, headaches, and lower back pain. In their book, Gustavo and Alexandra provide different types of remedies for anxiety and stress.
The first remedy is nutrient-based, including the intake of essential nutrients such as Inositol, lysine, magnesium, GABA, and melatonin. Secondly, there are herbal-based remedies, such as Chamomile, L-Theanine Hops, Valerian Root, Lemon Balm, and Passionflower, which can be found in various types of plants. Thirdly, there are natural remedies such as breathing exercises, deep relaxation, progressive muscle relaxation, diet monitoring, choosing the right foods, and hydration.
I was impressed by how detailed and helpful this book was. I was not aware that most of the food we consume could impact our health condition to such an extent. It was eye-opening to learn that we are what we eat, and that the right foods can significantly boost our general health. I also appreciated the thoughtful addition of a "Grocery Store Shopping List" at the end of the book, which will help readers improve their daily diet routine.
The book also provides various methods for managing anxiety and stress or increasing our tolerance to high levels of stress and anxiety, including stress management strategies(such as fitness, positive thinking, balanced meals, and avoiding stressful situations). Other methods include daily exercise, yoga, meditation, and alternative therapies such as music therapy and aromatherapy.
I loved everything about the book, and I did not come across any grammatical errors. It's safe to say the book was professionally edited. Due to all the reasons stated above, I find it fitting to give this book a perfect 5 out of 5 stars rating. I enjoyed reading it and would recommend it to anyone looking to manage anxiety and stress naturally.
