The Prophesy of the Heron is recommended must read for SciFi enthusiasts. I have read it twice and was captivated by the mastery of its plot.
Set in a backdrop of a futuristic post nuclear war, a society suppressing individual thought, natural irrepulsive emotion, self awareness and gender ideologies we find the character Kim.
AI Dystopia is governed, ruled and controlled and perpetrators are punished, suppressed by artificial intelligence at the whim of the creators whether in real experience or virtual reality.

Kim is characteristic of an independent mind and a rebel against the system. To the first time reader, Kim may seem a natural however Kims rebellion seems to emanate from a clash of individual opinion on artificial intelligence, its protocols, ethics, self awareness and conscience of ethical decision over programming and experience.
The book begins by the exile of Kim who is high born and an intellectual. The struggles of Kim in District 33, the ever present potential danger and death, hesitant and shaky trust and friendship bonds forged being a clear reminder that human nature can both destroy relationships and rebuild relationships depending on the choices of the character.
Self sustenance, self awareness, self preservation and self control are basic human characteristics no AI can fully comprehend or replicate at it is individual to every person and cannot be replicated again.
The storyline takes Kim to realize and unseen external non existent protagonist to the destiny, possibly a pre-planned foretold and prophesied event.
The climax ending of this story is that life has a purpose, a plan set by the Creator. And the creator always establishes a Savior as a fail safe. And the fail safe will appear at the appointed time. To reinsert natural order at a time.of chaos when all seem lost.
After establishing order, the reset relegated control back to status quo and having served its purposes fades way into oblivion.
This book is a reminder that life has a pre-planned purpose by a creator. It correctly recognizes a creator, programs and ethical boundaries. I give 5 out of 5 to the author and look forward to reading more of his works.

This book is a definite must read for everyone who questions the purpose to life. Life can be a rumble tumble of misjointed event and changes but everything that happens serves a ultimate purpose of creation, maintaining of order, the allowance of errors whether intentional or not and the insertion of a failsafe in the original design that will emerge at the time of requirement to re-establish the status quo and reset system.back to its original design. Sometime lacking the original background and backdrop of the instance of design. This book gives a glimpse of how when nature and the original setting is tamperd with or altered , no matter how far fetched will always rever back to its original purpose and design
