Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi is an exciting children's book that takes readers on a thrilling adventure with a cat named Inca and her friends. The story follows Missy, a judge in a cooking competition in Korea, who is expected to present her well-known cheese recipe. Alongside her cat, Inca, and her team, they journey to Korea and encounter several challenges and adventures.

One of the most outstanding features of the book is Inca's bravery and intelligence. Inca and her teammates demonstrate agility and eagerness as they solve various challenges. When Missy's cheese goes missing on arrival in Korea, Inca and Company take it upon themselves to solve the mystery of the missing cheese. The suspense that comes with the plot twist made me alert with anticipation. I could understand how agitated Missy must have felt about the missing cheese.

In addition to the mystery surrounding the missing cheese, Inca and her team encounter a case of separated siblings on their way to the competition. Inca and her team make sure that both siblings are reunited, which is symbolic in exhibiting conflict resolution between South Korea and North Korea. This aspect of the book adds a touch of realism and cultural significance, making it not only entertaining but also educational.

The book's editing is exceptional, making it easy to read and understand, but there are some concerns regarding the vocabulary used in the book. Some words may pose difficulties in comprehension or understanding for children. It would have been helpful to have a glossary of these words and their meanings included in the book.

Ye-jun's hospitality towards the travelling crew as a tour guide is admirable, and it made me wish I was part of the trip. The book's characters are well-developed, and the plot is engaging, making it a perfect read for children from the age of five.

In conclusion, Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula is an exceptional children's book that is not only entertaining but also educational. The book's characters, plot, and editing make it an excellent choice for children who love adventure and mysteries. This is why I am recommending it for children from age five and above. Despite some concerns about vocabulary, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars because of its overall quality and entertainment value.

Inca is my favorite character in this book. Your recommendation for readers who enjoy fantasy, religion, and magic is spot-on for me. Based on your review, I'm excited to add Children of Fire: The Chosen to my reading list. My best children book.

Read this last year, and I loved it. Despite it being a children's book, adults can also enjoy this book. Thanks for your review.
