Review of Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula

[Following is a volunteer review of "Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula" by R.F. Kristi.]
Inca is a smart Siberian kitty with strong hindquarters, well-rounded paws, and a magnificent tail. Inca is a super-duper cat detective who owns a detective company known as Inca & Company. The company is made up of six other pets that include three cats, one dog, one puppy, and a hamster. They are well-known around England and even France for their famous detective skills.
On this particular Sunday afternoon, Inca overhead her human mom, Missy, who broke the news of her being selected as one of the judges at a French cooking competition to Solo. The competition would be held in South Korea, and Missy would have the opportunity to introduce her new special cheese known as "La Crème de la Crème" to the audience. On getting to South Korea, a tour guide who introduced himself as Ye-Jun volunteered to host them in his pretty little villa on the outskirts of Seoul. They settled comfortably in this beautiful house but discovered that something was missing in the life of their host. They offered to help Ye-Jun in this mission, but it's a very dangerous one. Would Inca and her detective agency be able to pull this off without jeopardizing their lives?
R.F. Kristi penned this fascinating children's book, Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula, in 2018. It is the eighth book in her "Diary of a Snoopy Cat: The Inca Detective" series. In her beautiful piece of art, Kristi described the lives of pets from the pet's perspective. She hoped to instill self-confidence and respect for animals in children. I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline, as it continuously highlights the main theme of the story. The characters were well-rounded and easy to remember. Cara, for instance, adorned with magnificently large blue eyes, has a way of always stealing the show. The use of pictures by the author helped to provide a clear illustration of events, places, and personalities. Even though the book is part of a series, I'm glad that it can be read as a stand-alone. I'm sure kids will find this story very intriguing as it ignites their love for animals.
I have absolutely nothing to dislike about this book. It's both entertaining and insightful. The book was professionally edited, as I found only a few inconsistencies in a particular name.
So I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars because of its captivating yet simplified contents. Children beyond the age of 5 will find this book interesting as well as entertaining. I equally recommend it to teachers and parents of young kids.
