Mary Grace has a happy family and a happy life. But it all changes when her parents set her and her brother Donny down to talk about "something". It turns out that her parents have to go to Africa for two years because of their work. Now, Mary Grace and Donny have to live with their grandparents in California. While Donny is happy and excited, Mary Grace is angry and upset about this change. In California, Mary Grace, though heartbroken, continues to take care of her brother and have new adventures of her own. She has a knack for solving mysteries and is determined to solve one in her school with the help of Grandma Gang.

This is a beautifully written book. Even though it is a children's book, it is filled with important lessons and teaches great values. Donny has Down Syndrome, but he has the most endearing and wonderful personality. Mary Grace is one of the best characters I've come across. She loves her brother very much and is protective of him. She tries to see the best in situations and follows her heart. The kindness and optimism in the book are unparalleled. The writing is simple enough for children to enjoy and learn. The story deals with serious issues like bullying in a brilliant way.

Donny and Mary Grace's California Adventures by Catherine A. Pepe is a perfect children's book, and there is nothing that I didn't like in the book. The story is engaging and fun. I didn't find any errors, and the book is perfectly edited.

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.
The story has the perfect balance of fun and lessons. The themes of love, compassion, empathy, and care are interwoven beautifully. The story teaches children important lessons and is going to help them grow into better individuals. All the characters are remarkable, and Donny, with his Down Syndrome, has taught me to be happy and have hope. The story warms your heart and fills it with joy and happiness.

This book is a must-read for all children. It is going to be enjoyable for children and parents alike. Children with special needs and their parents are also going to love this book, and it will help them remember that they are not alone. This is a book full of love and will be a delight for everyone who reads it.
