Truly enjoyed the book. It is an easy read and suitable for older children age 8 and up. A true story how damaging bullying is and how it should be addressed in the schools. Bad behaviour has consequence and children should be disciplined for it. I liked the way Mary Grace looked out for her brother and took action in solving the issues. Very loving family relationship came out in the story. The swear word OMG you could have left out if this a book for younger children. I would recommend this book for schools with special needs without hesitation.
The book also illustrates how damaging it is for children not to be influenced by there own parents. Absence is difficult for children when they dealing with issues in school.Thankfully Mary Grace went to her grandmother who was very wise in the way she dealt with the issue.
I also liked her story how they solved the break in mystery on there own. I liked the Donny saying and his optimism for life “another great day.”
