[Following is a volunteer review of "Always Strive to Be a Better You" by Pete Hall.]
We strive to be a better version of ourselves today than yesterday by working hard to have a happier, better, and more productive life. Pete Hall's book, Always Strive to Be a Better You: How Ordinary People Can Live Extraordinary Lives, explores 13 key, significant life lessons that guarantee a happy, virtuous, and good life. Andre, Brooke, Chelsea, Derek, Jennifer, Matt, and Tammy are ordinary people whose 13 essential life lessons are drawn out after discussions, interviews, travels, and interactions with them that we can learn from and employ in our lives. The 13 essential life lessons are divided into four themes, and the authors refer to them as Tenet, a Greek name in honor of Plato. Before learning the key life lessons, we have to understand and know the tenets first. Grab a copy of Always Strive to Be a Better You to learn, gain, and benefit from this book's 13 essential life lessons.
Pete Hall starts each key life lesson by examining ordinary people (subjects) to determine how he comes up with the life lesson. I liked this in the book. The language was simple and easy to understand in the book. The book is well-structured, with tenets dividing the book into four parts and each comprising the key life lessons and exhaustively tackling each. If you understand the principles, then the key life lessons become much easier to understand.
The author gives readers a chance to absorb and apply the ideas and strategies by pressing the pause and reflect button so as to answer the questions he sets. Everything in the book was captivating because the ideas and techniques cover all aspects of life, whether in relationships or at work. The Greek names for tenets were exciting, and I applaud Pete Hall for also providing translations for them.
I enjoyed how well-written and exceptionally edited the book was. The ideas and strategies were terrific. For the positive aspects and amazing key life lessons learned from this book without errors or cons, I will rate it 5 out of 5 stars.
I applaud Pete Hall and his editors for this book, as it has empowering information to improve our lives. I recommend the book to people who want to change their boring and unproductive lives, and finally to all because we all want to grow, learn, and have an extraordinary life today compared to our ordinary lives of yesterday.
