[Following is a volunteer review of "A Dream For Peace" by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah.]
The autobiography of Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, A Dream For Peace, is an interesting read. The book is broken up into seventeen chapters, each of which covers a major turning point in the author's life starting with his birth. The story serves as an example of how one individual may become engaged in a variety of worthwhile endeavors. He is a physician, scientist, advocate for freedom, special advisor, supporter of peace, and social activist all in one life. The author excitedly recounted his life, his involvement in all of these endeavors, and his interactions with notable historical figures. We get a rich reading experience from reading about his love and married life as well as his belief in the one true God. This book has additional fascinating information about his life.
I was more able to relate to the author's life since he shared images of significant moments in it. I appreciate how his personality has changed since he was little. He could not abide the sufferings brought on by French colonization. I respect his wish to save the poor from such anguish after seeing such suffering. Not every person who overcame hardship as a youngster would strive for the betterment of the world as an adult. because time has a significant influence on our lives. Our perceptions and personalities would change as a result. However, the author's passion for helping others persisted in his heart even after a long time. I like how he uses his travels and involvement in many situations to highlight the value of peace. War, in the author's opinion, is not a practical means of bringing about peace. He showed through his life's experiences that the best way to bring about peace is via words. The memoir's inclusion of information about his private life, such as his interactions with his mother and his three spouses, is another positive. The reader's understanding is enriched with more intriguing secrets, political developments, and memorable incidents. The book underwent expert editing. There are no grammatical or spelling mistakes.
There is no aspect of this book that I disliked. The memoir was enjoyable to read. While reading this novel, you will weep. Because certain delicate incidents may force sensitive readers to lose their hearts. Other than that, reading this book presents no difficulties.
I give this book a score of 5 out of 5. This book has no errors, thus I did not subtract any stars. The chapters are very well laid out and illustrated. The book was entertaining to read despite its length. Since the memoir's opening, I have been completely engrossed in the narrative.
I recommend this book to readers who appreciate autobiographies. I thus advise them to read it. I suggest it to teenagers as well. For them, it would be instructive and motivating.
