The Feast of Human Hands was on in Soulhire, and the songs and dances, parades, and all the festivities brought the city to life. It was another day to celebrate Voulhire's prosperity, and people came from all over the kingdom for the celebrations. This particular celebration was unique since it came with the advent of a new golden age for Voulhire. King Wilhelm seemed to be in his best spirits, but inside, he wasn't doing well enough.

The Mianoran Council, which kept checks and balances on the monarchical powers in Voulhire, was up to something sinister. Meanwhile, it seemed Wilhelm was losing hold of the kingdom. His friend, Lord Meldorath, a dangerous and powerful mage, was arrested for murder and the use of dark magic. He had overthrown Lord Orlin, the previous Lord of Hillport, and declared himself the lordship of the town. Lord Orlin was hated for molestation, but Meldorath was dreaded because of the dark power he possessed. Wilhelm feared what Meldorath would do if he broke out of prison, considering the thirst for vengeance he had. Also, the Riva Rohavi rebels were becoming a threat. What could go wrong? Galen Bray, escaping the war in his home, the Land of the Princes, thought he would find refuge in Voulhire. Will he? What will become of Voulhire? Read We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz for a thrilling story.

What I liked the most about the book was how unique it was. This is among the very few books that aren't plagued by the boring tropes other books have. It was as if the author wrote an entirely unique book without trying to look like the rest. I enjoyed the blend of magic and medieval-like battles. It was somewhat of a blend between King Arthur and Harry Potter, but unique in its own way. I don't think such an enjoyable and gripping book can have anything to dislike, and neither did I find any. This is an award-worthy book, and I'd like to watch its movie adaptation one day. I don't think it deserves anything less than 5 out of 5 stars because of the above reasons. I also encountered no errors, so the editing was exceptionally well done. I highly recommend this book to those who love intense fantasy books with lots of battles and magic.
