[Following is a volunteer review of "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz.]
The first fantasy story in the series is titled We are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies and was written by Mattewe Tysz. The narrative begins with a prologue that describes a magistrate named Meldorath who practiced magic and had the strength to overpower numerous guards. Meldorath detained Lord Orlin for some undisclosed perversion in that scene. Meldorath was a magistrate before the arrest, but after it, he became Lord Meldorath.
Galen, the story’s primary character, is described in the next chapter. Galen was a native of the Land of Princes. This land experienced a major war. Galen claimed that it was a place where people perished from famine and death. Galen was able to escape as he boarded a ship bound for the country of Voulhire. His uncle resided in Voulhire, and to become the legal successor to his firm, his uncle had sent him a letter instructing him to travel to Magnum Caelum in Voulhire. A magnificent and terrifying land, Voulhire, is described. It possessed everything necessary to create a flawless world, and this gave Galen hope to start over.
I appreciate how the author was able to present such difficult tales in a more understanding way. It’s astounding how well he described places and occurrences. Despite the fact that the main character wasn’t always the center of attention in this novel, the author created a special set-up to keep humor present in every circumstance.
I recognize that because this is the first book, the characters and environment are still being introduced, but for some readers, it might become tedious and cause them to lose patience. It was slower than I anticipated, but hopefully the next book will have more action. This was the only issue I had with this book.
The author did a fantastic job at description, so I would give this book a 5 out of 5 stars rating. No grammar mistake was apparent to me, indicating that this work was professionally edited. However, foul language was employed. For adults with a developed mind, I would suggest this book. I also suggest this book to anyone who enjoys stories with lots of action, philosophy, and fantasy.
