[Following is a volunteer review of "Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula" by R.F. Kristi.]
R. F. Kristi's novel Cat Detective in the Korean Peninsula is a wonderful tale about our relationships with our pets. Inca, Baram, Fromage, Charlotte, Terrance, and Cara were all eager to accompany Missy, Inca's mother, to the French patisserie competition that Le Cordon Blas had planned in South Korea because Missy was one of the judges there.
She then made the decision to take advantage of the chance and show off her newest cheese. Missy's bag of cheese got stolen on the plane on her way to South Korea. Who did it, and was the bag ever recovered? How were Inca and its group able to save Baram's sister, given that South Korea and North Korea have borders? Who took home the prize?
This is a fascinating tale that imparts lessons about treachery, love, sacrifice, and a lot more. I gained insight through Missy's deft problem-solving skills. I also discovered that while making some sacrifices can be risky, they are nevertheless worthwhile because they may open up a way to save someone. I also gained a lot of knowledge about pets and their interactions with humans, as well as about their sacrifices and interpersonal abilities.
The author did a fantastic job of compiling this excellent post. Each chapter in the book has an intriguing title and is separated into many sections. Additionally, it has visual or diagrammatic illustrations that make it simple to understand certain events. The characters are well-developed, the plot is well-developed, and the book is well-structured. The book is exceptionally well-edited because it is error-free and has no typographical or grammatical errors.
I give it a rating of five out of five stars because I can think of no drawbacks to it after reading it. Anyone interested in finding out more about pets and how to care for them should read it, in my opinion. I'll also suggest it to anyone who wants to find out more about patisserie competitions and about South Korean culture and lifestyle.
