[Following is a volunteer review of "In It Together (2nd Edition Hardcover from B&N)" by Eckhart Aurelius Hughes.]
In In It Together: The Beautiful Struggle Uniting Us All, Eckhart Aurelius Hughes, wrote about the nature of consciousness and spirituality through a lens that anyone of any religion can understand because it truly applies to us all. People of all races, ethnicities, genders, cultures, spiritual/religious backgrounds, and socioeconomic statuses could read this book and have at least one thing that they can relate to and have something to take away from this amazing book. The book covers diverse and a wide range of topics from: empathy, self-destruction, consciousness, duality, and true unconditional love for self and anything conscious.
I genuinely enjoyed how In It Together: The Beautiful Struggle Uniting Us All by Eckhart Aurelius Hughes covered topics that I was just becoming familiar with prior to beginning the book. As I have become more spiritual than religious, I have realized that we are all connected and everything around us is all connected. I appreciate how this book brings people together as a collective consciousness and focuses on the importance of aspects outside of the material world. I have read roughly two to three spiritual/self-help books, but nothing quite like this. Each day that I read the book, I was able to form a unique perspective to live by throughout the day. This book allowed me to incorporate what I was soaking up through my reading the book into my daily spiritual habits such as: meditating, shadow work in finding self-love and healing traumas and doubts, as well as having appreciation for the world around me as something complex within the universe versus the material aspect of the matrix lifestyle that we live.
I rate this book an honest rating of five out of five. I would recommend so many others to read this book. Whether religious, spiritual, or atheist the concept of soul and body is a topic that each person should be able to relate to as well as being able to love themselves across time. The importance of nurturing their current selves as well as growing, evolving, and transcending through the course of time is an important concept throughout the book. If you cannot properly love yourself, then how can you expect to love others and treat others with empathy, kindness, and compassion.
The take-away from this book was nothing but positive. I cannot think of anything negative about the entire duration of reading In It Together: The Beautiful Struggle Uniting Us All by Eckhart Aurelius Hughes. I cannot find not one negative point within the book. There were zero errors or typos throughout the book. The language was simple to read, very understandable and relatable. The use of different words to cater to different audiences was definitely a plus when analyzing how well explained and beautifully written the topics were discussed throughout the reading. For example, your consciousness could be referred to as: your spirit, higher self, or your soul. Whereas your false self, could be considered: your body, your avatar, or your vessel.
If you need self-help, this is the book for you. If you love philosophy and deep thinking about topics that you may not talk about every day, that may sit and dwell in the back of your mind, this is the book for you. If you are spiritual and look at the universe as something so much bigger than the world we live in, this book is for you. If you are religious and you feel that as a collective, people need to unite and love one another, you should definitely read this book.
