Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula: Diary of a Snoopy Cat (The Inca Detective Series Book 8) by R.F. Kristi is a fascinating animal adventure story for both parents and children to enjoy. The story is narrated by Inca, a cat detective. Inca heads Inca & Company, a detective agency famous in London, England, and France. Inca’s two favorite pastimes are solving mysteries and having fun with her family, and her detective team includes three other cats, two dogs, and a hamster. Inca, her detective team, and their Mom live in a tiny cottage in a mansion owned by Solo. One Sunday afternoon, Inca overheard Mom telling Solo that Mom had been selected to judge the French patisserie competition in South Korea. Before long, Mum, Solo, and Inca with her detective team were traveling to Seoul. What adventures awaited them in the Korean Peninsula?

Reading this story, I enjoyed it like a child. The illustrations were eye-pleasing, and the plot was captivating and educational. The adventures of Inca and her team of pet detectives kept me turning pages. Most of all, I liked that the story taught children to love cats, dogs, and hamsters and treat them as friends. I also liked how the author portrayed the friendship and support of the cats and dogs on their perilous adventures, teaching children how important friendship is to achieve success. In addition, I liked how the author introduced the complex problem of the division between South and North Korea in a way understandable and educational for young children. The book was impeccably edited, and I found no errors. I cannot fault any aspect of this brilliant book, so I happily rate it 5 out of 5 stars.

I highly recommend this lovely book to parents who want to enjoy quality time reading with their children.
