This book is the eighth installment of the Inca Cat Detective series by R.F. Kristi, following another adventure of the furry family. The book is best suited for young readers, with 120 pages.

The furry family was taken on a trip to South Korea when their human mom, Missy, was made the judge of a patisserie competition. They came across Missy’s rival on the plane, who attempted to steal her well-cherished cheese. It was the beginning of their adventure. On arrival, they met a tour agent who volunteered to let the pets stay at his place during their visit. The pets became acquainted with the tour agent’s pet, who told them of her friend in North Korea with her master’s sister. After hearing the humans plan to infiltrate North Korea, the furry family decides to handle the situation and reunite the tour agent’s family. Grab a copy of Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula for a thrilling adventure.

The book is divided into ten chapters and begins by introducing each character in it. It is stand-alone and can be understood with or without reading the other ones in the series. It used bright and colorful images, making it livelier and more appealing to children. The book is also educational, mentioning the long-term dispute between South Korea and North Korea. It showed some rules maintained by the two countries, even though the author seemed to disapprove of their rivalry.

The pages in the book were aligned properly. The book didn’t use complex words that young readers could easily understand. I found no negatives regarding the book. It taught cooperation and teamwork, judging from the characteristics the furry family displayed. It was exceptionally well-edited, as I discovered no errors. After reading this book, readers would love to try out the others in the series. I also loved how the author kept the book brief and used animalistic expressions professionally. I rate it 5 out of 5 stars.

Although this book is meant for children, I would recommend it for general readability because of the lessons to be gained from it. Fans of adventure would fall in love with this novel.
