Review of Gnomes Homes In a Jar

[Following is a volunteer review of "Gnomes Homes In a Jar" by Big Initial Studios.]
Overall, I would rate the Gnomes Homes in a Jar coloring book 5 out of 5. The design and the quality of the illustrations and print layout of the quotes were flawless. I love to color, and this scratched my need to color itch. The cover is gorgeous and looks like a work of art. There are plenty of pages to color and inspirational quotes to read to help you reach a Zen state of mind as you color. For example, “Happiness is a warm blanket on a cold day, a cup of tea, and a good book.” Reading this while coloring the page of a majestic fairy home and landscape really helped to elevate my mood for the day. The pages are exceptionally durable and did not bleed through when I used my gel pens to shade in the images. The images come in a variety of sizes and complexity levels, which is perfect for allowing the reader to pick a page matching the amount of time they would like to spend coloring an image on a particular day. Some designs were simple while others were more intricate. I also liked that the jars themselves that contained the fairy homes were also unique and fun to color. Some of the pages were so pretty, I did not want to color them for fear I would mess them up! Paired with a nice set of gel pens, this coloring book would also make a great gift for your artistic friends. I could also see using this book for writing prompts to use in a personal journal or a meditation tool. If I could add one thing to this perfectly illustrated coloring book, it would be to include space for writing personal reflections and images of a few fairies or gnomes. The price is great considering the quality and the number of pages that you get.
