This adult coloring book is awesome for a detail-oriented person! I like how the artist added the shading and detail, down to minute parts. The critics I have of this book though, is that at times it is too detailed. If you are like me and like to outline details so that when you actually color it in, the picture is even more enhanced. With too many details, this sometimes makes it hard to do so. I’d say this is perfect for colored pencils and fine point markers. Each page has different levels of detail on it though. So, depending on how you feel on a certain day you have a picture that will allow you to color to your heart’s content. The pages are just thin enough that you can easily bleed through the page though if you press down too hard with any type of marker. I’d have a separate sheet underneath the one you are coloring to prevent the bleed through to the next page. I used Tombow dual tip markers, Crayola markers, Crayola colored pencils, and Crayola crayons to color with. It really depended on the level of detail in the picture I was working on. I have to get more styles to see how they work in this coloring book. I love how the artist puts a different mantra on the opposite side of each picture. Every single time you start a new page, you have a saying on it that you cannot help but smile when you read it. I find it especially helpful when I want to have time to myself and want to relieve stress. In all, I absolutely love this coloring book and recommend it to all adults who want to escape into coloring the gnome world! I definitely will get more of these coloring books from this artist! Definitely a 4 out of 5!
