A Walk Through the Grapes by David Jackson is a narration that goes around the life of Jace Glazer. Jace grew up in a family of six, his parents and three siblings. His father Robert Glazer was a very hardworking man both working for his country as a police and as a farmer after retirement. Although he ensured that all his children got educated to have a bright future, he never liked the idea that his children will go and work very far from home. He wanted them to remain very close and work within their small town of Willowcreek so that they may help him to carry on farming and the Glazer's Business. Jace defies the odds by going for an opportunity that had been called to in New York City since his passion was acting films. Life in the city seems like did not favour Jace and decided to go back to the small town of Willowcreek hoping for the better, but he was met with a lot of misfortunes and troubles in sequence following the family including the death of his brother and his father plus the fire that consumed their house.

The suspense created by the author brings an exhilarating experience when going through the book. The author is an expert in connecting events and the characters; this makes anyone who has read this book continue. The reader would want to extend beyond the last line of the last page, you will want to know the future life of Jace with his girlfriend Ally and you will also like to know what Oliver was planning to do after the revenge on the Roberts family.

I loved this book, if it was an episodic movie I would have waited for the next episode to be released eagerly. What I liked most was the life of Robert, his life is very simple but how he plans his business and how he is planning for the future of Jace after succeeding him, he does all this in secrete even though Jace knows Nothing about it. Robert's hard work is portrayed in many ways, like being able to manage seventy-three acres of land growing grapes. The bond that exists between Jace and his family members is well explained. Her mother Marrie is very crucial when it comes to supporting her Children mostly Jace, she always motivates him.

While reading the book I got sudden changes in my mood due to some unexpectations, like the death of Robert, the inferno that destroyed the house, the shooting of Dane and Jace, and the severe accident that happened to Jace until he lost his memory. All this made me fill very bad about the story because I felt the events were real and any harm to any character in the book I felt it.

This was very wonderful entertainment to me, the book was thoroughly edited, I found no errors. Therefore, I give the book 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend this book to the youths whose future is in their hands and they have to make decisions quickly, I also recommend it to adults who are coming to retirement to plan for their post-retirement life.
