Review of E M P Honeymoon
[Following is a volunteer review of "E M P Honeymoon" by Dorothy May Mercer.]
E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer is about the planning of North Korean terrorists to attack the United States of America. Kelly is on a newlywed vacation with her husband, Tom, when she discovers a very suspicious place. The Pigstry Gift Shop has a lot of pig toys that you can buy, but behind that is a digitalized room used by terrorists. When Kelly discovered this, she immediately contacted his brother, Senator McBride, about the situation. These become the beginning of their adventure to see how they can save their home and their countrymen.
What I liked about the book is the characters; they are very wholesome and really make their personalities pop. And my favorite is Kim Jung Lo. He may have committed wrongdoing when he helped the terrorists with their plan, but he was able to redeem himself. I also commend Senator McBride's brotherly care; he knew the risks Kelly was facing, but he didn't stop her. Instead, he makes sure that her safety is secured while she is busy unlocking her capabilities. Lastly, I really appreciate the efforts of Team USA. Even though they knew the consequences of their actions, that never stopped them from securing the safety of their people.
There is nothing that I didn't like about the book; it is very wholesome and entertaining at the same time. I really enjoyed the way Sharon and Steve bark at each other; it really adds spice to the book.
I will rate this book 5 out of 5 stars because it is exceptionally edited. I didn't even notice a mistake. I loved that the author narrated the story in a very smooth and understandable way.
I will recommend this book to young adults, especially those who like to read a chilling and thrilling novel at the same time. They could probably gain some knowledge on how the government ensures the safety of their countrymen.
