"We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz is the first book in Matthew Tysz's We are Voulhire series. Galen, a refugee who has spent his entire life in the Land of the Princes, is central to the plot. He travels to Voulhire with the intention of living a respectable life and carrying on his great-uncle's legacy as a blacksmith. He slowly learns more about himself and this weird place, accompanied by Rowan. To watch various people across Voulhire, the viewpoint shifts from first to third person.
It allows readers to watch the events that take place with King Wilhelm, Chancellor Maido of Mianora, Lord Eldus of Hillport, Vidius of Riva, and the dreaded magician, Meldorath. Some forces prepare an attack on the kingdom while Galen is gathering iron to learn about his great-uncle's skill. Can the king have faith in the Mianoran Council? Is it Meldorath's plan to remain in prison? What precisely is Meldorath capable of? This 17th-century-themed book has unknown worlds, corrupted lords, sinful kings, manipulating mages, and more.

One of the book's strengths lies in its detailed world-building. Tysz has created a rich and intricate realm, complete with unique cultures, histories, and magical systems. From the bustling cities to the sprawling landscapes, every setting is meticulously described, allowing readers to fully immerse themselves in the story. The author's attention to detail and ability to craft a believable and cohesive world are truly commendable. The book was a good read, and I found no typographical errors, which means the book was well edited.

I liked the detailed descriptions of settings, cultures, histories, and magical systems. I also liked the author's evocative and descriptive writing style. There was practically nothing I didn't like about the book.

I give this book a maximum rating of 5 out of 5 because of the well-developed and multi-dimensional characters, which engaged readers on an emotional level, allowing them to form genuine connections and invest in their journeys. I recommend this book to fans of epic fantasy who enjoy immersive world-building, intricate plots, and well-developed characters.

Matthew Tysz did wonders in this book. The way he conferred up this fantasy story still amazes me. Voulhire sounds both ordinary and extraordinary. I just liked this book's plot. Great review.
