Man Mission is a fun memoir that chronicles the lives of four friends: the unnamed narrator, Daniel, Alec, and Sam. The need to travel the world and taste different foods birthed the "Man Mission". It became a yearly tradition for them and later became an escape and solace from the harsh realities of their lives.

This is a captivating book. I particularly appreciated the maps and quotes provided in the book. They were apt in the assimilation of each chapter. I liked how the author effortlessly narrated each activity. His description and tale abilities are worthy of praise.

The book made me realize how much pressure the society puts on men. Such that they are often stuck in a cycle, a routine, with the only goal being to provide for the family. They are hardly allowed to be carefree and playful, because that is not the definition of being 'manly'. The four friends were always eager to go on the trip each year because for them, it meant freedom for that one week. They could be silly without any judgements.

The only complaint I have about this book is the format. I read the EPUB version of the book. Instead of texts, the pages of the book seemed like pictures that were pasted. And there were pages that one needed to zoom in on before being able to make out the words on those pages. This was a big inconvenience for me. I would rather just flip the pages and read than disrupt my reading process by zooming in.

In spite of the above complaint, this book is deserving of a perfect rating. I rate Man Mission by Eytan Uliel 5 out of 5 stars. This book is flawlessly edited. I did not notice any errors. This book is better suited for readers who enjoy adventure, traveling, and outdoor activities. I also recommend it to adults who want to enjoy a great book, as it is packed with themes of friendship, growth, and comedy.
