As a fan of fantasy books, I chose We Are Voulhire as soon as I saw it was available, and I wasn't disappointed. It is a great story with lots of action, magic, suspense, and drama.
The book is based on a country called Voulhire, with thirteen main cities that play a specific role in the economy and purpose of the country. The story involves the development of the cities through the stories of different characters living in different parts of the country.
It is a book set in a medieval time, with kingdoms, courts, wars and all the characteristic characters of the time, but adding to this the magical element, and the possibility of the multiverse which takes our imagination to a whole new level.
Each chapter develops in continuity with the previous one by maintaining a single chronology throughout the book, but each chapter shows a very different aspect of the overall story. So, just as he can show us the intricacies of the king's life and his strategies and machinations with the court, he also shows us aspects of the people of this kingdom and the toils and hardships they go through to maintain a dignified quality of life and proper commerce in their community.
It presents us with the lives and histories of a wide variety of characters and places, so it can be confusing to keep up with some of the scenes. In my case, I found it helpful to keep the map at the beginning of the book handy and to have a list of the main characters.
Since each chapter focused on the point of view of a different character, it was easy to relate to each one of them, not just seeing a confrontation between the good guy and the bad guy, but understanding the complex nature of a society, with all its political and social aspects.
With this book, the author gives us just a taste of a great universe, with just a glimpse of the different cities, and leaves an unfinished story, with so much material to develop in the history of each character that it made me want to read what follows immediately. At the end of the book, it leaves the door open for not one but several more stories to continue.
This book is recommended for a young adult and adult audience. Although it does not contain inappropriate language or scenes with explicit content, the social or political themes could be complex for a younger audience.
My rate for this book is 5 out of 5, for its incredible story that even though it is very complex it doesn't get confusing or tangled. As I already mentioned its story wraps you in this universe and leaves you wanting to know more about each of the characters. Although there are some errors in the writing, it is nothing to overshadow the incredible universe the author has created.

Matthew Tysz did wonders in this book. The way he conferred up this fantasy story still amazes me. Voulhire sounds both ordinary and extraordinary. I just liked this book's plot. Great review.
