[Following is a volunteer review of "E M P Honeymoon" by Dorothy May Mercer.]
When newlyweds Kelly and Tom Turbulo decide to go on their honeymoon in Honduras, expecting everything to go perfectly according to schedule, Kelly finds a group of terrorists by accident, which then turns their tranquil honeymoon into an all-out action-packed mission with help from Kelly's brother, Senator Mike Mcbride. Will they succeed in this mission? Or will they be captured by the enemy? Find out by reading this action thriller, EMP Honeymoon: Kelly and Tom, by Dorothy May Mercer.
This book had me on the edge of my seat the entire way through. I was lucky enough to have read Cynthia and Dan before I read this book, and I am therefore able to compare Mercer's writing to her previous work. EMP Honeymoon feels more mature, and the characters are more relatable to real life this time around. Kelly and Tom are by far my favorite couple that I have read from Mercer so far. I was so taken by both Kelly and Tom and their selflessness and willingness to put their lives in danger to save their country. I also learned a lot of new technical terms and their meanings while reading this book.
I did not dislike anything about this book. It was a relatively short read, being only 230 pages and sixteen chapters long, and I loved that the author brought some of her characters from previous books into this novel. It is fast-paced and highly suspenseful.
I did not find any spelling or grammatical errors during my reading experience. The writing and creativity in this book are top-notch. It has been exceptionally well edited, and therefore I have no reason to deduct any stars. I rate this book five out of five stars.
I recommend this book to people who enjoy Dorothy May Mercer novels as well as fans of action, thrillers, and suspense books.
