WikiHow I am a Reading Specialist with a Doctorate in Education and have taught for many years, after reading this story I found it to be amazing. I would recommend this book to children up to 10 years of age and to parents and grandparents who read to children of Christian background. A good selection for Childrens' Bible classes and/or for Christian camps.
The story begins with eight-year-old, Emma, remembering a dream and excited about telling it to her father, mother and six-year-old sister, Bella. She told them that suddenly some angels came and carried her and Bella to heaven, flying through the clouds. They all asked what happened when they were in heaven. She said how wonderful it was and they saw wonderful things then Jesus and the angels returned them to their beds. Daddy explained how important the dream was and God must have something very important for the girls to do for Him. Emma wanted to go back to Heaven in her dreams so she prayed every night that God would let her return in her dreams. God answered her prayers by letting her and Bella visit heaven several times in her dreams.
Emma was excited and told of the wonders she saw, Jesus, God, the fruit trees, the rainbow, the city of gold, many rooms in Gods house, the animals that all got along and much, much more. Bella wanted to know if her parents thought this was what heaven looked liked. They agreed that it probably did because that is all described in the Bible. Father finds all the places in Revelations that talked about things Emma saw in her dreams and reads it to them. More questions for Emma about who she saw there and what they looked like. She told of God and Jesus, the angels, lots of people, different people she learned about in Sunday school and in the Bible stories Mother read to them. Heaven was lots of fun and everyone is strong and healthy there. Jesus and God never go to sleep, they never stop watching over everyone. Emma's dreams gave the family a lot to ponder. All the family believed Emma's dreams and knew her experiences were real. The girls' parents reminded them that God's ways are always perfect and good. Emma and Bella learned a lot of wonderful things about heaven and God's love for them.
The illustrations are colorful and very childlike, Beautiful story! I rated this 4/4 and 5/5.
