Are you haunted by the thought of retirement? especially when you feel you make less income from work? “Reconfigurement” by E. Alan Fleischauer seems to be a valuable resource to address these concerns.

"Reconfigurement" offers a comprehensive guide for preparing for retirement, covering a wide range of topics that are crucial for securing a stable financial future. The book delves into career planning, income protection, investing strategies, health insurance, disability policies, life protection, social security, wills, and estates, among other important areas. By encompassing such a broad spectrum of financial matters, the book ensures that readers receive a well-rounded understanding of retirement planning.

Fleischauer's writing style is one of the book's standout features. His sharp, immersive, and intellectually stimulating prose keeps readers engaged throughout. What sets this book apart is the author's ability to infuse humor into such an important topic. The exciting jokes and humor in the book help alleviate the tension that often comes with discussing financial planning, making it more accessible and enjoyable for readers.

While "Reconfigurement" provides valuable insights, one thing I dislike about this book is its limited applicability outside of the United States. As the book primarily targets an American audience, some content, such as the discussion of 401(k) plans and social security, might not be directly relevant to readers from other countries. However, the author's ability to deliver broader financial principles and ideas allows readers worldwide to glean valuable knowledge on financial reconfiguration.

Overall, "Reconfigurement" is highly recommended for individuals seeking guidance on planning for their financial future and achieving financial independence. Although the book is often perceived as targeted to those between 40 to 50 years old, its relevance extends beyond this age group. Even teenagers and young adults can benefit from its insights, as it emphasizes the importance of early financial planning and preparation.
The professional editing of the book is commendable, as it ensures a seamless reading experience for the audience. The absence of errors in the text adds to the overall quality of the work and the credibility of the author's expertise.

On a personal rating scale, I would give "Reconfigurement" 4 out of 5 stars. The book's specific focus on the United States limits its universal applicability, but its valuable content and engaging writing style make it a compelling read for those seeking financial guidance. Whether you are planning for retirement or striving for financial stability, "Reconfigurement" offers practical insights to set you on the path to a more secure and fulfilling financial future.

This book is unique to me. It is one of the very few financial advising authors that talked about retirement. It jolted me to the reality that I won't remain in my prime forever. So I will do my best to apply the suggestions given in this book on how to plan for retirement.
