[Following is a volunteer review of "Purpose" by Gina Bianchini.]
‘’Purpose’’ by Gina Bianchini is an empowering and engaging self-help book which motivates you to follow your purpose, at the same time weighing on the importance of community building to do so. This book is divided into 3 parts or focus areas. It begins with a thought-provoking guide on how to find your purpose. Through this book, the author indulges us to follow certain practices or rituals which she crafted based on her own past experiences and knowledge, which provides a solid start to anyone who is finding themselves stuck. I found them easy to follow and readily incorporable into the life we live today. The next part goes on to tell us how we can achieve our purpose and turn it into a reality. Here the role of community comes into play. Through relatable experiences, meaningful insights and real-life examples, the author shows us that things which seem impossible to us alone, when with the support of a community can turn into actual fruitful endeavors. From identifying potential members, sharing common goals and fostering beautiful connections, she demonstrates how communities lead to personal and collective growth. The last and final part is about using digitalization to realize our purpose. She asks us not to ignore the power and potential of the digital world, but to embrace it instead.
Overall, this book is a great read which emphasizes on unleashing your true potential, the importance of like-minded individuals and the role of a collaborative community in growing your purpose. It also excels in providing a concrete guide on achieving the same and therefore I’m giving it a 4/5 rating. The only thing I felt lacking was that it doesn’t provide much insight on the conflicts that might come up on a long-term basis.
Gina Bianchini’s writing style is simple and engaging and her adept use of humor, along with her valuable insights and in-depth knowledge on the topic makes this book a must read for anyone looking for self-discovery and development.
