[Following is a volunteer review of "Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids" by Jemima Paul, Arvind Paul.]
Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids by Jemima and Arvind Paul is a children's Christian book full of inspiration from the Bible and also from Emma's revelation. Emma, an eight-year-old, and her sister Bella were brought up in a Christian background that couldn't do without prayers. Her father was a devout Christian, and this naturally affected the children positively.
Not Every kid has the opportunity to have dreams or communicate with God. This eight-year-old child constantly has dreams about heaven. Each morning she would wake up and share her good dream with her family, telling them what heaven looked like, how animals had a friendly nature towards humans and many other experiences. Bella always wished she could see this for herself. Her parents were not the careless type to only listen to her dreams; rather, they backed them up with the Bible. Bella had lots of questions about heaven that will clear our minds about Christianity today. Read this book for more inspiration.
I love the length of the book; it has seven chapters with little captions and clear illustrations. The book wasn't boring; it had some illustrations that will help children focus. I also appreciate the fact that the storyline went hand in hand with the Bible. The author made lots of Bible references in the book, which was an eye-opener for me. I love the fact that the author didn't skip the part about hell.
One night, Emma woke up terrified. She dreamed about hell this time. She shared it with her family but was encouraged to serve God. This part caught my attention. The description of hell was too scary. If children are to serve God because of the description of hell, it will be wrong. Children are meant to serve God for who he is. I must say that this was the only place I had a problem.
I found no errors in the book. This book is exceptionally edited. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. The above flaw isn't enough to deduct a star from this book. This book has a lot of moral lessons. For every child out there to communicate with God, you must be prayerful. I recommend this book to Christian children and churches, as it can be used in Sunday School to teach children the Bible.
