Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, the author of A Dream For Peace, recounts the events leading up to his aspirations being realized. He provides a summary of the colonial era in his country of origin. Algerians were not free when he was born. The author discusses his modest and proud childhood. He also gives a brief account of his ancestry. When the author reached school age, he was moved to a newly built facility for indigenous children. He also explains how native instructors were manipulated to make them believe that France is their native country. During this period, discrimination prevailed in Algeria and the other African colonies.

I not only enjoyed the book, but I also learned a lot from it. After reading this book, I came to the conclusion that memoirs are my favorite genre. I think this book was well-written, motivational, and educational. The aspect that I liked and enjoyed the most was the writing style. It was simple and seamless. The paragraphs were succinct and properly laid out. I had no issue reading the book because of this. The author's vivid descriptions of the events in the book were very appealing to me. I didn't find anything about this book to be unappealing.

The book was exceptionally well-edited because I found no grammatical or spelling errors in it. The images in the book are another fantastic feature. The book did not bore me despite its length.

I choose to give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. Numerous variables went into determining this ranking. Reading the book was both educational and enjoyable. Also, the book deserves a full rating because of the writing style.

I recommend this book to readers who like memoirs and inspirational stories in general. Those interested in the colonial past of Algeria will find this book interesting.
