Dorothy May Mercer's E M P Honeymoon is an electrifying and unique story that takes readers on a thrilling adventure through the captivating lens of science. The novel follows a newlywed couple, Kelly and Tom, on their honeymoon, set against the beautiful backdrop of Honduras Island. Little did they know that their romantic escapade would soon become entangled in a national crisis triggered by an electromagnetic pulse attack from space.

The author's masterful storytelling introduces readers to an array of compelling characters, each with their own depth and relatability. From Kelly's accidental discovery of a high-tech laboratory in a tiny gift shop to Tom's dive boat explorations, the plot is meticulously crafted, keeping readers engaged throughout.

What truly sets this book apart is the seamless integration of scientific principles into the narrative. Mercer carefully explains the concept of an Electro-Magnetic Pulse and its potentially devastating consequences. The inclusion of man-made objects in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) adds a realistic touch to the story, leaving readers pondering the vulnerability of nations to such an attack from space.

The novel's fast-paced action and well-crafted chapters are enhanced by the skillful use of headings, making it easy for readers to follow the characters' whereabouts and behaviors. Furthermore, the return of Cynthia and Sky from the previous series adds an exciting element to the overall experience.

Despite its many strengths, E M P Honeymoon is not without minor criticism. The inclusion of cartoonish rocket images at the end of each chapter felt out of place and could have been better presented with a more cohesive background.

That said, this small flaw is far outweighed by the book's numerous strengths. The impeccable editing and flawless grammar deserve special mention, as it is a rare feat to find a book so impeccably polished.

In conclusion, E M P Honeymoon is a must-read for fans of action-packed novels and science enthusiasts alike. Mercer has skillfully woven together an engaging plot, well-developed characters, and a dose of scientific reality that keeps readers hooked from start to finish. Without a doubt, this novel deserves a perfect rating of 5 out of 5 stars.
