[Following is a volunteer review of "E M P Honeymoon" by Dorothy May Mercer.]
E M P Honeymoon: Kelly and Tom by Dorothy May Mercer is a C/T/M/H book that focuses on two people, Kelly and Tom Turbulo, who are a newlywed couple away on their honeymoon. While on their honeymoon, which was meant to be a peaceful and quiet break from their work schedules, they uncover a plot against the United States of America. Their honeymoon is then cut short as they have to ensure that the plot doesn't succeed.
It is a book about governments, science, secret intelligence agencies, romance, and crime.
There are many things to like about the book, ranging from the development of the story and the development of the characters to the apt description of the events and scenarios. Everything in the book felt so real that it felt like I was watching a crime-action movie. At some points, it felt like everything being described in the book was happening in real time. The book is also full of suspense and tension, as each chapter leaves you with unanswered questions, prompting you to go on to the next chapter. The book also gave a glimpse into how the power grid system in America works and the effects of an electromagnetic pulse (EMP), although these may all be fictional.
Sincerely, there was nothing to dislike about the book. The storyline was intriguing, the mysteries and suspense were exhilarating, the author's story-telling was superb, and the book was exceptionally well edited, as I didn't come across any grammatical or spelling errors while reading the book. Hence, I'll be rating it 5 out of 5 stars.
I really had a good time reading the book and recommend it to people who love novels filled with suspense, romance, and lots of action. Lovers of crime thrillers will also find this book to be a good read. Also, people interested in learning how EMP works may find this book helpful.
