This book brought tears to my eyes several times. I absolutely loved it! It is full of hard truths and beautiful analogies and almost perfectly describes "The Beautiful Struggle Uniting Us All."

Each chapter highlights a different struggle each and every one of us faces, highlighting each one in a unique and intriguing perspective. It brings old teachings into new light, telling us exactly how to embrace every aspect of not only ourselves but every person around us. There are several lines in this book that anyone would benefit from writing on mirrors or sticky notes to remind them of how beautiful each and every one of them are. My favorite takeaway from this book is that we are not alone in our human experiences, both good and bad, and that is what makes humanity ultimately wonderful.

Hughes did an excellent job providing an objective text to guide humanity towards just being good to each other (and ourselves). I would 100% recommend this book to anyone.
