[Following is a volunteer review of "E M P Honeymoon" by Dorothy May Mercer.]
The book E M P Honeymoon: Kelly and Tom is a C/T/M/H book by Dorothy May Mercer that tells the story of two individuals, Kelly and Tom Turbulo, who are a newlywed American couple. The couple travels to Honduras for their honeymoon when they discover a plot by a group of terrorists to destroy the grid system of the United States of America using electromagnetic pulses (EMP). This brings their once peaceful and blissful honeymoon to an end as they have to convey the information about their findings back home to the United States while they do their best to prevent the terrorists from carrying out their plot. Will they succeed?
The book is an excellent combination of romance, crime, action, science, government, and international relations. If the story in the book were to be adapted into a movie, I'm confident that it would make a good crime-action series. The apt description of the events in the book by the author made reading the book seem like watching an actual movie. The author also did a good job with the development of the characters, their experiences, their roles, their strengths, their flaws, and the connections between them. The storyline is also filled with a lot of suspense and plot twists that keep one wondering about what happens next. Overall, the author did a really good job.
For me, there is nothing to dislike about the book. The storyline was captivating, the dialogue was simple and at some points humorous, and the book was exceptionally well edited, as I didn't find any errors while reading it. Hence, I'll be rating the book 5 out of 5 stars.
I'll recommend this book to people who love romance novels with a blend of crime and action. People who love crime thrillers will also enjoy reading this book.
