[Following is a volunteer review of "Seeking... Finding... Healing..." by Becky Lu Jackson.]
This book, Seeking... Finding... Healing... by Becky Lu Jackson, aims to help us live at peace from within. You may have sat down and thought about what your younger self would think of you. Maybe you also wondered whether your future self would be proud of your actions today. It is so important that these three people in us are in a good place and happy for us to live fulfilling lives.
The author starts by laying the foundation for the inner family concept. She draws inspiration and comparisons from her life and those she has interacted with. Becky takes us through her struggle and how she started the healing process. She talks about spirituality and how it helped her achieve the level of peace and healing that she did. She gives us a road-map and guidance on how we can achieve that by ourselves. She discusses visualization healing and talks about others she has helped through that. In the final part, Becky leads the readers through a discussion with their inner selves in very practical ways.
I enjoyed reading this book as it was practical. It had exercises that were doable and pieces of advice that were actionable. Becky shares her experiences and those of others she has helped, making the book more relatable. I also loved that despite the topic being sensitive, she handled it so expertly and in an accommodating manner.
My favorite chapter was the one that listed her inspirational quotes and poems. I found them profound and personally related to them. 'A prayer from thoughts in solitude,' for instance, had me thinking deeply about my relationship with God. The book was short and easy to read. The language was also friendly.
I give it a rating of five out of five stars. Well done to the author. She has great content, and she did well presenting it. The book's editing was also perfect, as I did not notice any errors. Recommend the book to any person in need of inner healing.
