Review of Man Mission

[Following is a volunteer review of "Man Mission" by Eytan Uliel.]
No one wishes to have a stressful life or one full of worries. The bitter truth is that life always has a stressful aspect. However, we can choose to add colour to life and make the most of it. As adults, we are always busy trying to meet up with responsibilities; hence, we lack the time to explore a good number of alternatives. Aside from the boring adult routine, have you ever thought of living as though there's absolutely nothing to worry about? Man Mission by Etyan Uliel takes us on a journey with four young men who decide to do something extraordinary as they tour the world.
The story is narrated from the first-person point of view. It is about the protagonist and his three friends, Alec, Sam, and Daniel. They embark on a fifteen-year journey to several countries around the world. These countries include Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the USA, Spain, Fiji, Thailand, Iceland, and Japan. During each excursion, they engage in unusual and daring activities such as hiking, kayaking, camping, and trying out new foods. They eventually get married and are faced with the challenges of marriage, getting better jobs, and maturing. Will these challenges affect their age-long friendship and dream of touring the world?
One thing I admire so much about this book is that these men, despite facing several challenges, were able to accomplish their goal. The narration of the story can be compared to a sequential, step-by-step movement up a staircase. From being college students to getting jobs to getting married, the story depicts the gradual process of how they became mature men. Initially, I didn't think this book would be an interesting read, but having read it, I would say it deserves an accolade. The author's choice of words and writing style make it so easy for the reader to understand. I never lost interest in the course of my reading. At some point, I saw myself laughing so hard, and at other points, I was so scared for the characters. I must commend Etyan Uliel for this amazing piece of writing.
There is obviously nothing to dislike about this book. No error was encountered while reading, so I can say it was professionally edited. Although the title Man Mission does not perfectly suit the storyline as I thought it would, it is not enough to deduct a star from my rating. I rate this book five out of five stars. Adventure lovers, suspense lovers, and lovers of good-quality stories will find this book interesting.
