Most times, we explore other parts of the world because of a lack of peace or a search for greener pastures. In the case of Galen, the Land of the Princes is a land of starvation and hunger due to the war among them. It dawned on Galen that he had to escape. We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz tells the beautiful story of a man who left a war-inflicted country for a beautiful city where he was left a lot of fortune.

The book started by narrating the story of a wise and wicked ruler known as the Emperor of Lullabies. He had four sons who plotted a conspiracy against him in order to talk over him. This has led to the father giving them each an island. The quest for total ownership of the island has led to a great war. Death and hunger were high, and Galen sought to leave the Land of the Princes. He had a paper that helped the captain of the ship identify him and lead him to Voulhire. In the small city of Magnum Caelum, his great-uncle has left a fortune for him. What does Galen's future hold in this new city?

The elements of writing in this book are so electrifying, and I can't help but grin at how heavy the suspense of this book was. Also, readers do not need to ask the question of who a particular character is, as the book has done justice to ensuring that every character and role were given before the start of the book, which made it easy. The narrative style of the book was another standout feature. Galen was a fascinating character that was well developed. The twists and turns of the book were also great, as were all the other measures taken to ensure the book was easy for readers.

For me, I don't think there was anything to dislike in the book. The book was well organised and followed a rhythmic pattern. Finally, I was glad not to have come across any errors while reading; it only shows that the book went through thorough editing. I would recommend this book to lovers of science fiction. All in all, I will rate this book five out of five stars for what has been said above.
