Kaylin McFarren's Soul Seeker chariots readers into the realm of the supernatural, bringing them closer to the spiritual war at hand. This is a noble fight, the ultimate battle of good versus evil. Benjamin Poe is a mere pawn in the diabolical chess game that has been taking place for centuries. Ben, just like much of humanity, attempts to turn a blind eye in the presence of evil, even with its green eyes staring straight into his soul. Benjamin is an outstanding citizen, well respected in the community, loving husband and father. However, will that matter when the darkness approaches? Perhaps, this darkness has already been slowing tainting his life, despite his attempts to remain blind to it? But Gabriel? How could he even fathom his own son's involvement? Regardless of his son's transgressions, Poe will not stand aside and let this creature, this demon take his son. They say true love has no conditions, knows no boundaries and is eternal. This is the exact leverage that Crighton, the soul seeking demon utilizes.

Crighton is held in high regard in hell, amongst all the other demons but surprisingly no one is safe from Lucifer's fury. Lucifer sends Crighton to fetch him the soul of an angel and expects his top soul seeker to deliver as promised. With a twist of fate, Crighton found more than he could have ever imagined. Bound by destiny, Crighton slowly transforms into something he does not recognize. Love? How could he, a demon, ever love an angel? Ariel, a guardian angel in training, never thought she would be in the presence of a demon and such a despicable one, for that matter. Destiny holds back for no one, and these two drastically differing creatures will soon learn just how bound they really are.

This diabolical story will keep you turning pages as McFarren thrills readers with spiritual and personal wars. Parent versus child, sibling versus sibling, demon versus angel, good versus evil, love versus hate and of course the most difficult battle itself, the inner battle raging within. With all this fighting going on, love holds a strong presence in this novel and was clevering incorpated thoroughtout. I appreciated how McFarren played with the reader's emotions and had several major surprises up her sleeves. Soul Seeker is a fantastic thrilling novel with a little mystery and a lot of love wrapped up in one package. I would highly recommend this to anyone that loves a good romance novel with an appropriate amount of darkness. I give Soul Seeker a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. I am interested in whether or not McFarren will continue the story and create another amazing novel.
