[Following is a volunteer review of "Man Mission" by Eytan Uliel.]
The Man Mission book was both exciting and thrilling. The book covers four men who were committed to taking annual adventures around the world. All for the purpose of defining manhood, having fun as friends, and taking a break from normal mandatory life. The plot was engaging, and enough background information was provided for the reader to connect with all four men. Each of the fifteen different places they visited consisted of different activities they participated in. I loved how the author was able to link each difficulty the men went through in their personal lives to how the trips helped them overcome them. It was wonderful to see that the book documented the need to do better and achieve more as one gets older.
On the sensitive side, I am impressed that the author can be vulnerable when it comes to sharing life lessons and not-so-good moments. The author took us on a journey of fifteen years, sharing important little and big things without elongating the book. Moreover, at the end of the book, the author was able to reflect, correct, and learn from past mistakes and conclude the book with a happy ending. Also, the author was able to compile a book about fun, excitement, and adventure in conjunction with touching topics such as stagnation, emotional stability, and society's standards. Overall, this book was thought-provoking while simultaneously fun.
In addition, I would like to commend the author and the editor for their great work. The book was well structured, edited, and free of grammatical errors. The story flowed smoothly, and events were listed sequentially. With all that said, I rate this book 5/5 stars. Honestly, the book was easy to read. The story line was captivity, and I have no disappointments. I would absolutely recommend this book to all who love adventures and traveling.
