Sitting on the edge has been given a new meaning by D. F. Jones in her second book “Anna’s Way” of the Ditch Lane Diaries series. The second book is on a completely different level than her first book Ruby’s Choice, which was a super intense love story about Ruby and two boys Reed and Brent and whom she chooses.

Anna’s Way starts when the three friends Anna, Ruby and Sandy venture into the secret part of Campbell Ridge cave. Each of them get a mystical stone which gives them some powers from the creator himself. Ruby gets the power to dream about the possible future for the people around her. Sandy can see the past and future of a person by just touching someone and Anna can heal people.

Ditch Lane Dairies is a paranormal romance series which is unlike any other. The author’s twist to the whole ‘angels and demons’ talk is quite interesting and after reading this book you might go out looking for your own angel. It melts your heart to read about Anna and Jerry's love while, at the same time, the fights between demons and angels gives you shivers. The storyline is a great balance of romance and paranormal.

The pace of the book is decent and at no point in the story did I lose my interest. The characters drawn by the author are very good. The angels and demons depicted by the author are such that they almost feel real. The main characters are drawn beautifully, and my favorite would be Lucifer-The Devil. Lucifer is the main reason the story comes into play. Though he is not seen in the picture that much, he is still an ever present character. He is the character which you will hate, but at the same time admire. Jones has done a great job in putting life to her characters and make you fall in love with them. The dialogues and plot are beautifully written. The plot with all its twists and turns will keep you on edge at all times.

The only thing I did not like about the story was that there was not enough action described between the angels and demons. As being paranormal romance genre it is understandable, but I am hoping that the action sequence is described more in the next book. The book still held me from start to finish, so much so that I have already read it twice and can't wait for the next book. Therefore, I would give Anna's Way by D. F. Jones a 4 out of 4 stars.
