Review of Purpose

[Following is a volunteer review of "Purpose" by Gina Bianchini.]
I recently finished reading the book "Purpose" by Gina Bianchini, and it left me feeling uplifted. In her book, Bianchini shares her personal story and how her experiences in social media technology shaped her views on finding and achieving one's purpose. She emphasizes that purpose is found and inspired by community and that it is crucial to build true communities against today's isolating social media culture. Bianchini presents a step-by-step process for discovering and achieving one's purpose, which involves self-discovery, making real connections with others, and brainstorming actionable plans. Throughout the book, she provides self-reflection questions and thought exercises that encourage readers to ponder what they value and how they can better connect with others. The book also includes real-life stories that follow the exercise templates, providing examples of what can happen when we realize our true purposes. However, I felt that the book could have been improved by discussing the logistics of creating online spaces where people could connect. Although the book inspired me to begin the process, I realized that I am not at the right stage of life to follow through with it. I believe that the book is more suitable for individuals with already-established careers or challenging life experiences, and those more interested in the reflective and ideological aspects of realizing their purpose. Additionally, I think the book could benefit from including more information about the digital platforms used by the individuals in the real-life stories. Different platforms have different requirements, and this distinction was not adequately addressed in the book. Overall, I would rate the book three out of five stars. It provides an organized, inspirational, step-by-step process that encourages thoughtfulness and motivation to reach a real purpose with the community. However, it could be improved by addressing the digital aspect of creating a community and including more technical social platform suggestions and examples.
