The author, Dr Rachel Sims is a marriage and relationship expert who after working for over a decade in schools as a counselor, chose to go into private practice.
It is okay to be terrified about relationships, commitment and vulnerability with so many takes, tales and horror stories about relationships flying around. This book is definitely THAT book and it helps in experiencing a fulfilling relationship. It is unbiased and realistic and I will recommend for every person interested in getting into a relationship.
A book like this completely blew my mind and surpassed my high expectations and it has inspired thousands of readers around the world with it's powerful message.
There were some issues in the book addressed that I was skeptical about at first, especially dealing with similarities between partners, expectations and reality, forgiveness and finance in a relationship but the author's reasoning and explanations had me nodding in agreement. It made me view these issues with another and a better perspective. The book is well curated and it addresses issues in today's dating world. My major takeouts from this book are:
* Individuals must love themselves before seeking a romantic partner.
* There's no perfect man or woman.
* While looking for Mr or Miss right, make sure you are the right person too for your partner and finally, look for a respectful partner who loves you and himself or herself.
This is so little, because this book is so much more. I absolutely love how each chapter progressed and the real life experiences inserted in between, it didn't bore me out that way and I was curious to read more. The author definitely delivered and I don't think there is anyone who wouldn't benefit from reading this book.
In conclusion, this is an amazing book and I would recommend a thousand times.
